Information on the Proposed Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Tenley Branch Library
The city is moving forward to consider all possible options for the future
of Tenley Library. The Deputy Mayor's Office is preparing to issue an
RFP, a "request for proposals," to solicit competitive bids for rebuilding
the library, modernizing and adding onto Janney Elementary and possibly
providing other public amenities, through either a land sale or a land
lease. A draft of this RFP has been released to the community for comment.

Public comment on this draft RFP is being accepted through October 22nd. All solicitation comments should be directed to the attention of Eric Scott, Program Manager for the Neighborhood
Investment Fund of the DC Deputy Mayor's Office of Planning
and Economic Development, at eric.scott@dc.gov.

The Janney School Improvement Team has revised its Frequently
Asked Questions list that provides a good summary of where we are
now in the PPP discussion. The FAQ includes some key text from the RFP,
for those who may not be interested in reading the entire RFP.
