What is the Future of Fundraising at Janney?
Should the auction be retired? Are we ready for something other than wrapping paper? Was the item-driven raffle preferred over the cash prizes? These are questions that are being bantered across the benches at pickup time and on the playground, but what are the answers? If you have thoughts on these issues, please email Fundraising Chairs, Melissa Torgovitsky and Lisa Kennelly.

Janney School Improvement Team's response to the Mayor's Plans for Janney School/Tenley Library Development - At a press conference on July 10, 2008, Mayor Fenty announced the City's intention to move forward with a public-private partnership for the Janney Elementary/Tenley Library site. The Mayor and the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (DMPED) indicated that the proposed mixed-use development will include the Tenley library and the space above the Tenley library. Mayor Fenty promised that the new development would not result in a loss of net green space for Janney. Read more about the issue, the Mayor's plans, and the history of this issue by clicking here.
