The Jaguar Journal is Janney’s student newspaper -- the only student paper at the elementary-school level in the District of Columbia. Staffed by 4th & 5th grade students, the Jaguar Journal was started in 2010 by Aaron Epstein, a retired newspaper reporter and longtime volunteer tutor at Janney. The paper is edited by Mr. Epstein and overseen by Assistant Principal Linda Sell. In January 2012, the Jaguar Journal expanded to monthly publication on newsprint, with 700 copies distributed throughout the Janney community.
